Joseph Albiston was baptized in the LDS Church on more than onceoccassion. The Logan 2nd Ward (LDS) records state that he was baptizedin 1840 by a Mr. Henry Royld. He was baptized by his father, JohnAlbiston, in Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, England on 16 Jan 1848(Minnie Margett File FHL#415,443). It is likely that he first attendedthe Mormon Church in Ashton-under-Lyne. In Nov 1854, his membershiprecord was moved to Stalybridge. He was rebaptized at Ashton-under-Lyneon 14 Mar 1864 (FHL#415,443). He was then dropped from the Churchmembership, baptized again at the Oldham Branch on 8 Jun 1879. (Cert. inposs. of Craig Albiston, Oldham Branch Records FHL#087,027). JosephAlbiston left England for America on 6 Sep 1879 and was baptized onceagain, probably in Coveville (today known as Cove), UT on 19 Oct 1879(Cove LDS Ward Records, FHL#025,595). After his death, he was baptizedfor the dead in the Logan LDS Temple.
